Shindengen Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan)
has developed the "JA series", low-height bridge diodes with height approximately 15.9mm from the board mounting surface.
Samples started April in 2009 and mass production started July in 2009. |
1.Overview
As flat panel displays become thinner and storage servers and such become thinner and smaller, faster, height restrictions on bridge diodes used in AC/DC power are becoming tighter.
To address this trend, we have developed the "JA series", 10w-height bride diodes with height approximately 15.9 mm from the board mounting surface.
The "JA series" contains CSV chips using our own glass passivation technology. It boasts high reliability. We have also greatly improved the heat dissipation through certain structural tricks and made the diodes support rated voltages of 15 A and 25 A despite their small size.
From here, we intend to push forward the improvement of semiconductor chips to obtain even higher efficiencies, while developing products that support even greater currents.
We shall continue to fulfill our customers' needs as we supply them with power devices, while helping to protect the environment by developing highly efficient devices.
